Victoria genelindeki Woolworths süpermarketlerinde rafları boş bırakan iş bırakma eylemi sona erdi. İşçiler, süpermarket devi tarafından sunulan yeni teklifi kabul ederek grevi sonlandırdı.
Birleşik İşçiler Sendikası (UWU), Woolworths’un, çalışanlarının çalışma hızları nedeniyle cezalandırılmamasını kabul ettiğini ve maaşlara enflasyonun üzerinde zam yapılacağını açıkladı.
UWU, anlaşmanın çalışanların iş hızlarını ölçen sistemle bağlantılı otomatik cezalandırma uygulamasını ortadan kaldırdığını belirtti. Sendika sözcüsü, “Yeni toplu iş sözleşmesi, Woolworths depo çalışanlarını robot gibi görmeye çalışan sistemi sona erdiriyor” dedi.
Anlaşma kapsamında, Dandenong South, Laverton, Barnawartha (Wodonga yakınları) ve NSW’deki Erskine Park dahil tüm merkezlerde çalışanların maaşlarına enflasyonun üzerinde zam yapılacak.
Woolworths, Dandenong South’taki merkezde operasyonların Cumartesi akşamı itibarıyla yeniden başlayabileceğini duyurdu.
17 gündür süren grev, 1.500 Woolworths çalışanını temsil eden UWU üyelerinin Cumartesi günü yeni teklifi kabul etmesiyle sona erdi.
Cuma günü Woolworths, Fair Work Komisyonu’nda sendikaya karşı bir zafer elde etmişti. Komisyon, UWU’nun müzakerelerde haksız davrandığına ve dağıtım merkezlerinin önündeki protesto barikatlarının “yasadışı” olduğuna karar verdi.
Woolworths, barikatların sitelere giriş-çıkışı engellediğini ve “adil müzakere gerekliliklerini” ihlal ettiğini savundu. Şirket, grevin Victoria’daki dağıtım merkezlerinde 50 milyon doların üzerinde satış kaybına neden olduğunu belirtti.
Sendika, Woolworths’ün depo çalışanlarından hızla ürün toplarken %100 performans hedefini tutturmalarını bekleyen “verimlilik çerçevesini” eleştirdi. Bu çerçevenin “tehlikeli, insanlık dışı ve güvensiz” olduğunu vurguladı.
Woolworths ise sistemin güvenliği temel alarak geliştirildiğini ve operasyonel performans için adil bir yaklaşım sağladığını savundu.
Yeni anlaşmanın ardından taraflar arasındaki gerilimin azalması ve iş barışının sağlanması bekleniyor.
