Morrison Hükümeti, Endonezya, Hong Kong ve Peru ile serbest ticaret anlaşması imzaladı. Anlaşma yasası, onay almak için Avustralya Temsilciler Meclisinde.
Endonezya’nın, 2050 yılına kadar dünyanın dördüncü en büyük ekonomisi olma yolunda ilerlediği ve yeni bir başkent inşa etmeyi planladığı açıklandı.
Ticaret Bakanı Simon Birmingham, Avustralya çiftçileri ve işletmeleri için yeni ihracat fırsatları. Bakan, “Bu serbest ticaret anlaşmaları yeni kapılar açacak ve Avustralya ihracatçılarına geniş kapsamlı faydalar sağlayacak” dedi.
Avustralya’nın politik liderleri de kararda birleşti. Labor partisi, işletmelere devasa yeni bir pazar açması beklenen Endonezya ile yapılan bir ticaret anlaşmasının avantajlarını konu aldı.
Labor partisi lideri Anthony Albanese, gazetecilere verdiği demeçte, “Bunların hepsi Avustralyalı altyapı şirketlerini, Avustralya’nın çelik endüstrisini, Avustralyalı mühendisleri, mimarları, planlamacıları, hukuk memurlarını ve hizmet sağlayıcıları için yeni iş imkanları anlamına geliyor,” dedi.

ENDONEZYA
“Örneğin, Avustralyalı tahıl üreticileri her yıl Endonezya’ya ücretsiz olarak 500.000 ton yemlik tahıl ihracatı yapabilecektir, ’’ denildi.
PERU
“Avustralyalı süt çiftçilerin günlük 7 bin ton ürünü Peru pazarında gümrük vergisiz yerini alacak.’’
HONG KONG
“Hong Kong’la yapılan anlaşmaya göre, bütün malzemelerde sıfır gümrüklü tarifeler ile pazara erişim garanti altına alınacak. İki yönlü yatırım koşulları önemli ölçüde iyileştirilecektir.’’
Hong Kong ve Peru hükümetlerinin anlaşmaları yürürlüğe sokmak için iç prosedürlerini tamamladığı açıklandı. Endonezya Hükümeti ise, çalışmaya devam etmekte.
