Broadmeadows’daki lastik geri dönüşüm tesisinde 1 Ağustos Pazar günü öğleden sonra yangın çıktı. Yangına 35’ten fazla FRV itfaiyeci müdahale etti.

Rüzgar söndürme çalışmalarını etkiledi

Acil Servis Ekipleri, Pazar günü saat 13.25 civarında Maygar Bulvarındaki (Boulevard) olay yerine geldi.

Victoria İtfaiye ekipleri (FRV) olay yerine vardıklarında, 20 ve 50 metre arasında lastik yığınının yandığını tespit ettiklerini açıkladı.

Rüzgarın da etkisiyle yangını kontrol altına almanın zorlaştığı anlarda bölgeyi dumanlar kapladı.

Yangın uzaktaki bir evden böyle görüntülendi.

Kontrol altına yangın sonrası drone’lar kullanıldı

Termal görüntüleme ve kalan sıcak noktaları belirlemek için İtfaiye ekipleri ‘Uzaktan Pilotlu Uçak Sistemi’ olan Drone’ları havaya konuşlandırdı.

FRV’nin yangın müfettişleri yangının nedenini araştıracak.

Ambulans Victoria sağlık görevlilerinin yanı sıra trafik yönetimini üstlenen Victoria Polisi de olay yerine geldi.

Çevredeki semtler için bir tavsiye uyarısı yayınlandı: Duman nedeniyle tüm pencerelerin kapalı tutulması ve içeride kalınması tavsiye edildi.
