İşçi Partisi (Labor) aşı olan Avustralyalılara 300 dolar verilmesini teklif etti.
İşçi Partisi lideri Anthony Albanese, Avustralyalıları aşı yaptırmaya teşvikin bir parçası olarak, Aralık ayına kadar COVID-19’a karşı tamamen aşılanmaları halinde 300 dolarlık bir ödeme verilmesini istedi.
Albanese yaptığı açıklamada, “Avustralya’nın yüzde 80 hedefini karşılamak için 1 Aralık’a kadar fazlasıyla yeterli aşıya sahip olacağını garanti etti,” dedi.
Aşılanma ne kadar hızlı sağlanırsa, ülkenin maliyesinden her gün yüz milyonlarca dolar çıkmaz diyen Albanese, Avustralyalıların aşı olmaları için mali bir teşvik getirimesi gerektiğini söyledi.
Baş Sağlık Görevlisi Paul Kelly de, aşı yaptırmaya yönelik teşviklere destek vereceklerini ifade etmişti.
Profesör Kelly Mayıs ayında yaptığı açıklamada, “İnsanların aşı olması için elimizden geldiğince çok teşvik yapmaya gerçekten ihtiyacımız olduğunu düşünüyorum,” dedi.
