Avustralya’da 10 yaşındaki bir çocuk iki metrelik köpek balığı tarafından ısırıldı.
Ailesiyle birlikte Şnorkelle yüzen çocuk ayağından ısırıldı. Olay Batı Avustralya’nın Coral Körfezi yakınlarında meydana geldi.
Kıyıdan yaklaşık 75 metre açıkta meydana gelen saldırı sonrası 10 yaşındaki küçük çocuk hastaneye kaldırıldı.

Bakanlıktan yapılan açıklamada, 11 Haziran Cuma günü saat 11:14’te köpekbalığı saldırı olayı raporunun alındığı belirtildi.
Küçük çocuk, Hastane helikopteri ile (Royal Flying Doctors) Perth Çocuk Hastanesine götürülmeden önce yakındaki bir sağlık evinde tedavi edildi.
Çocuğun şu anda hayati tehlikesi bulunmuyor.
Çocuğun ısırıldığı koy halkın kullanımına kapatıldı. Yüzücülere, Coral Bay bölgesinde yüzerken ekstra özen göstermeleri tavsiye edildi.
Bölge, şnorkelli yüzme popüler bir mekan. Kıyı şeridi, manta vatozları, kaplumbağaları ve mercan bahçeleri ile ünlü.
